Sterno® products should be stored in a cool dry place (40-120° F or 4-49° C.). You should provide adequate ventilation in the area of use and store away from sources of heat or open flame. Also be sure to keep the container closed when not in use.

usage chart for applications for the Sterno® Brand products. When using these products, avoid any contact with the skin and eyes and do not ingest the product. The can should be placed in the fuel holder under the chafer before lighting and should be allowed to burn in a level, upright position. Do not allow children near the flame and keep away any combustible items such as paper plates and napkins.
